The South Carolina Stingrays announce the official theme for the Kelly Cup Playoffs 2009. The "White-Out" will begin April 14, 2009 as the Stingrays take on the Charlotte Checkers at the North Charleston Coliseum in game 3 of the first round, best of 7 game series.
Exclusive playoff t-shirts are on sale now through the front office and at every Playoff Home game for $15. Fans are encouraged to wear white to the games in support of the Rays. SECOND SEASON SUB-PLOTS
The Rays look for their first win on the road in the playoffs since 2005; they are 0-10 since then.
The Rays have gotten offensive help from their defensemen with Brad Farynuk tied for the league lead in goals for blueliners with three, and Zach Tarkir tied for first in points and assists with six and five respectively.

THE REST ON THE QUEST
The Alaska Aces won their series against the Utah Grizzlies 4-1; they will play Victoria in the second round.
Wheeling blanked Cincinnati 6-0 to tie their series up at three games apiece forcing a deciding game seven.
Three teams have a chance to win their series tonight with Elmira, Florida and South Carolina all able to move on to the second round.
BLAST FROM THE PAST
Having lost their first two games on the road this postseason, the Rays now have 36 road playoff losses, the most in ECHL history, eight more than Pensacola, Toledo and Wheeling who all have 28 road playoff losses in their history.
