Salmon Kings To Meet Aces In Second Round Of Playoffs

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that the Alaska Aces will be their opponents in the second round of the 2009 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The series begins on Friday, April 24th at 8:15 p.m. PT in Anchorage. The Best-of-Seven West Division Final is a 2-3-2 format with the Salmon Kings hosting games three, four and five as the lower seed. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday.

This will mark the second time Victoria and Alaska have met in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. The last time the two teams played was in the 2007 National Conference Quarter Finals that resulted in a 4-2 series win by the Aces.
