COMSTOCK PARK, MI - The Detroit Tigers announced today that righthanded pitcher Josh Kauten has been taken off the disabled list effective today. Kauten has been on the DL since May 18. He was removed from the game May 17 in the first inning after straining a muscle in his side.
Kauten had started eight games for the Whitecaps this season and has a 3-1 record with a 3.07 ERA. He is scheduled to start Saturday night against the Clinton LumberKings at Fifth Third Ballpark at 7 p.m.
The Whitecaps roster now has 25 active players.
