Kats Trade QB Ryan Porter to Manchester Wolves

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats announced today that they have traded quarterback Ryan Porter to the Manchester Wolves in exchange for OL/DL Abdul Wiggins.

Wiggins, a sixth-year af2 player, will join the Kats from Manchester where he has spent the last 3 seasons. The Portsmouth, Virginia native has since played in 30 games, amassing 28.5 tackles, 2.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, 16 quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. Prior to his days with the Wolves, Wiggins played two seasons with the now defunct Norfolk Nighthawks (2002-2003) collecting 32.0 tackles, five sacks, five quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery, four forced fumbles, four blocked kicks and two safeties in 22 games.

Ryan Porter did not see any time in the Kats regular season opener against Quad City. Prior to joining the Kats, Porter played for the Rio Grande Valley Dorados and the Bakersfield Blitz. During the 2006 season, Porter completed 7 touchdown passes, ran for 1 touchdown, and had 1 interception.

The Jungle Kats are currently in a bye-week, but will be back on the field next Friday, April 13th, when they travel to Louisville to take on the division-rival Fire at 6:15pm. The Kats return to U.S. Bank Arena on May 5th to take on the Fort Wayne Fusion at 7:30pm.
