
Kalamazoo's 36th Season of Professional Hockey Begins Friday

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks, announce the organization's 36th straight training camp will begin this Friday, October 2nd.
A new era in Kalamazoo Wings hockey will begin this Friday as head coach Nick Bootland and the K-Wings begin their inaugural season in the ECHL with their first practice of the season at 10 a.m.
Training camp is open to the public and the K-Wings are encouraging fans to come witness any of the team's practices.
The first weekend of training camp will be highlighted with a K-Wings Showcase this Saturday, October 3rd.
The showcase will commence at 7 p.m. on this Saturday, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The event will be FREE to the public. Saturday is also the first day that single game tickets for the K-Wings entire 2009-2010 home schedule go on sale.
After a practice on Sunday, the K-Wings will head to Anchorage, Alaska in preparation of their two preseason contests on Wednesday, October 7th and Thursday, October 8th versus the 2009 Kelly Cup runners-up, Alaska Aces.
The K-Wings will fly back to Kalamazoo on Friday and return to Wings Stadium for practices on Saturday and Sunday.

After the first week of practice, the K-Wings will begin finalizing their roster while preparing for the season opener on Thursday, October 15th when they travel to the state Pennsylvania to battle the Reading Royals
Kalamazoo starts its 36-game regular season home schedule on Saturday, October 24th against Reading at 7:30 p.m. Customary for opening night, all fans will received a FREE magnetic schedule courtesy of Meijer. Also, fans will receive a FREE team poster courtesy of Fed-Ex Office and Men's Warehouse Tux.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games range in price from $9.90-$14.90 for adults and only $6.90 for kids ages 12 and under. Fans can purchase individual game tickets at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office or at any Ticketmaster outlet. The price for all K-Wings premium night games (all colored ice and New Year's Eve game) will be increased by $1.
All tickets that are purchased for any K-Wings game (including the preseason) on game-day will be increased by $1 per ticket.
