
Kalamazoo Kings to Celebrate Manager's Birthday

Kalamazoo-Kalamazoo Kings Field Manager Fran Riordan will be turning 34 on Tuesday August 25th to start a six game home stand that will conclude the Kings' regular season home schedule. Kings' fans are encouraged to come out to the game Tuesday to help celebrate Fran's birthday with the entire stadium to sing Happy Birthday during the 7th Inning stretch. Kids 14 and under get in FREE courtesy of National City Bank.
Fran is a record setting player and manager who set the record for most wins by a manager in the Frontier League earlier this season, which is at 427 and counting. He also owns three championships, one with the Kings, and two while a player/manager with the Richmond Roosters. Fran is also the namesake of the Fran Riordan Citizenship Award.
The Kalamazoo Kings are currently 50-31 and in first place in the Frontier League's East Division and hold the best record in the League overall. They have been in first place since June 12th, holding the top spot for nine consecutive weeks.
Game times are 7:05pm Monday through Saturday with Sunday's game starting at 2:05pm. Ticket prices are as follows: box seats - $8.00; general admission - $6.00.
