K-Wings to Make Two Appearances This Week

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce Kalamazoo's favorite mascot, Slappy, along with the K-Wings' KC's Auto Land Uplander will make two public appearances this week.

On Wednesday, December 10th, Slappy will be at Electric City Indoor Karting located off of 9th Street for the First Annual Bad Boys 300 and toy drive presented by 92.5 WZUU.

The event, which starts at 7p.m., will be a 300 lap race or two hours, what ever comes first. There will be teams from the Kalamazoo Speedway, Berlin Raceway, and other local drivers.

On Saturday (12/13), Slappy will visit the second day of the Bermo Enterprises Holiday Warehouse Clothing Sale in Schoolcraft. While the sale runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., fans can meet their favorite mascot from 11 a.m.-noon.

A great chance to purchase holiday gifts, individuals can save up to 80% on name-brand clothing and accessories. Bermos Enterprises is located at 12033 U.S. 131 in Schoolcraft, Michigan.

After concluding their five-game road swing, the K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium this Friday, December 12th with a 7:30 p.m. encounter versus the Flint Generals. Friday will be the first of four home games in December for the K-Wings and their first home game in the past 18 days.

Single game tickets for the entire K-Wings 2008-09 home schedule are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
