KALAMAZOO- The Kalamazoo Wings, who wanted to add depth at forward, didn't have to go far to do it. The K-Wings have signed forward Justin Kovacs to the roster.

Kovacs just completed his collegiate career at Western Michigan University. This season, Kovacs finished third on the Broncos in scoring with 26 points (6 goals, 20 assists) in 35 games.

In total, Kovacs played in 129 games for WMU recording 76 points (23 goals, 53 assists) and helped the Broncos reach the NCAA tournament during the 2011-12 season.

Before playing for the Broncos, Kovacs played two seasons of junior hockey in the United States Hockey League with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders. During the 2010-11 campaign, Kovacs led the Roughriders in scoring and was eighth overall in the USHL with 59 points (17 goals, 42 assists).

Kovacs will make his professional debut tonight, Tuesday, March 17th at 7 p.m. when the K-Wings host the Indy Fuel at Wings Stadium.

This evening will be the 34th Annual "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice Game, presented by O'Reilly's Auto Parts. Customary to the event, the K-Wings will have green ice, green beer and will be wearing special St. Patrick's Day jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. The Kalamazoo Bag Pipe Band will also be performing during the game.

As a reminder anyone coming to upcoming Wings Stadium events, including K-Wings hockey may have to find alternate routes to the facility due to the closure of the Sprinkle Road exit (exit 80) on I-94. Last week, Wings Stadium announced several ways for guests to arrive to the complex. Click here for alternate routes.

The K-Wings will remain home this Friday, March 20th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Fort Wayne Komets on Celebration! Cinema Night. This Friday will also be a 3, 2, 1 Countdown to Fun!, featuring $3 beer, $2 Pepsi products and $1 hot dogs featuring Winter Sausage hot dogs and Harding's Friendly Markets buns.

Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.

Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans along with group ticket packages (15 or more people) may be ordered through the K-Wings front office by calling (269) 743-6011.
