Published on March 17, 2015 under ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
Tonight will be the fifth of six regular season meetings between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Indy Fuel. Kalamazoo is 2-1-1-0 against Indy this season and 1-0-0-0 in games at Wings Stadium. This evening is also the 34th Annual "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice Game.
Kalamazoo returns home to start a brief two-game home stand. The K-Wings are currently in third place in the North Division. With 63 points, Kalamazoo leads the Cincinnati Cyclones by three points and they hold a four-point lead on both Indy and the Wheeling Nailers.
With the top four teams in each division making the playoffs, this evening is a huge game for the Fuel. A victory would not only place Indy within two points of Kalamazoo, but it would help them leap-frog Cincinnati in the North Division standings.
