A tradition will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th when the K-Wings host the Indy Fuel with a 7 p.m. face-off at Wings Stadium. Tuesday will be the 34th Annual "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice Game, presented by O'Reilly's Auto Parts. Customary to the event, the K-Wings will have green ice, green beer and will be wearing special St. Patrick's Day jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. The Kalamazoo Bag Pipe Band will also be performing during the game. As a reminder anyone coming to upcoming Wings Stadium events, including K-Wings hockey may have to find alternate routes to the facility due to the closure of the Sprinkle Road exit (exit 80) on I-94. Last week, Wings Stadium announced several ways for guests to arrive to the complex. Click here for alternate routes. On the season, the K-Wings are 2-1-0-1 versus the Fuel, who start the week tied for fifth place (25-25-4-5, 59 points) in the North Division.

The K-Wings will remain home this Friday, March 20th with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Fort Wayne Komets on Celebration! Cinema Night. This Friday will also be a 3, 2, 1 Countdown to Fun!, featuring $3 beer, $2 Pepsi products and $1 hot dogs featuring Winter Sausage hot dogs and Harding's Friendly Markets buns. On the season, the K-Wings are 5-7-0-1 versus the Komets, who start the week in first place (39-14-2-4, 84 points) in the North Division.

Kalamazoo will conclude the week this Saturday, March 21st with a 7:15 p.m. encounter against the Toledo Walleye. Saturday will begin a four-game road trip for the K-Wings. On the season, the K-Wings are 4-4-0-1 against the Walleye, who start the week in second place (38-13-4-2, 82 points) in the North Division.

KALAMAZOO - Accomplishing something that no Kalamazoo Wings player has done in 202 games, Matt Caria netted a hat trick as part of a four-point night to lead the K-Wings past the Fort Wayne Komets 8-4 Wednesday night at Wings Stadium.

Friday, March 13th @ Wheeling Nailers (Wheeling 4-Kalamazoo 1)

WHEELING - Tied at 1-1 after two periods, the Wheeling Nailers scored three unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes to pull away to a 4-1 victory over the Kalamazoo Wings Friday night at the WesBanco Arena.

READING - Tied after 40 minutes, the Kalamazoo Wings responded with three goals in the final 20 minutes to skate past the Reading Royals 5-2 Saturday night at the Santander Arena.

READING - Avenging a loss from the night before, the Reading Royals defeated the Kalamazoo Wings 6-1 Sunday afternoon at the Santander Arena.

It's Easy Being Green

The K-Wings will host the Indy Fuel on Tuesday during the 34th Annual "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice Game. All-time, Kalamazoo is 19-10-0-4 on Green Ice, including a record of 1-3-0-1 since joining the ECHL.

Bouncing Back

On Sunday, the K-Wings lost 6-1 to the Reading Royals. The five-goal setback was the largest deficit that Kalamazoo has suffered in a loss this season.

A lot of Games

Tuesday will end the K-Wings busiest stretched of games. Starting last Wednesday and ending on March 17th, the K-Wings will have played five games in seven days.

Defenseman Kane Lafranchise is closing in a personal milestone. Lafranchise needs one assist to reach 100 in his career.

The Obscure Stat of the Week

Forward Ludwig Blomstrand has been lighting the lamp. Blomstrand has recorded 15 goals in his last 18 games.
