
K-Wings Sign Blair Manning

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the International Hockey League, announce the signing of forward Blair Manning; per team policy, the terms of the contract will be undisclosed.
A 13-year professional, Manning will make his K-Wings debut tomorrow against the Flint Generals. Manning joins the K-Wings after starting this season in the Central Hockey League with the Rapid City Rush.
In his magnificent career, Manning has registered 781 points (211 goals and 570 assists) in 811 games. The native of Vancouver, British Columbia reached a personal milestone earlier this season, when the played in his 800th career game on October 18th against the Colorado Eagles.
"He (Manning) is a top six forward that brings a lot to our team offensively and defensively," said General Manager Wade Welsh. "Blair was been a captain for nine of his teams and will increase an already incredible amount of leadership on our team."
Beginning his pro career during the 1995-96 season, Manning has averaged over 60 points a season.
After playing their next two contests away from Wings Stadium, including tomorrow's game against the Generals, Kalamazoo will return home next Friday, December 12th versus Flint.
