Kalamazoo Wings News Release

KALAMAZOO, MI- The Tampa Bay Lightning and Syracuse Crunch (AHL) have made a pair of re-assignments that will bolster the Kalamazoo Wings lineup, the team announced Tuesday.

The Lightning re-assigned second-year forward Brian Hart from the Syracuse Crunch to the Kalamazoo Wings, where he is scheduled to make is debut Friday against Fort Wayne. Hart, 22, split last season between Syracuse and Greenville, where he appeared in 61 games over the course of the season, scoring 13 goals and adding four assists.

Before turning pro, Hart spent three seasons at Harvard University, and registered 50 points in 98 career games. The native of Cumberland, Maine was a second round (53rd overall) draft pick of the Lightning in 2012.

Also assigned to Kalamazoo as part of the roster moves was 26-year-old *Adam Comrie*. A 6-foot-4 defenseman who has contributed on both sides of the ice everywhere he's played, the native of Ottawa appeared in 71 games last year between Lehigh Valley (AHL) and Reading. Comrie tallied 49 combined points with the two teams and was named to last year's All-ECHL second team for the second time in his career.

Throughout his first six years of professional hockey, Comrie has appeared in over 300 games, including nearly 200 in the AHL. He has notched 168 points in his career and has set a pace of .77 points per game from the blue line during his time in the ECHL. Prior to the start of his pro career in 2010, Comrie played junior hockey in both the USHL (Omaha, Ohio) and the OHL (Saginaw, Guelph). He was a third round (80th overall) draft pick of the Florida Panthers in 2008, and is currently on an American Hockey League contract. The Kalamazoo Wings host their 43rd annual home opener on Friday, October 21, as they entertain the Fort Wayne Komets. The game features a Fan Fest- a free event with your purchased ticket- which begins at 5:30 p.m. and features local food trucks, craft beer, games, and live music. Tickets all season long start at JUST $10!
