Rugged Forward Paxton Leroux Joins Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Tuesday that they have signed forward Paxton Leroux. In addition, the club has released forward Justin Hussar. The Fuel complete a three-game road swing this weekend when they visit the Tulsa Oilers Friday and the Missouri Mavericks on Saturday.

Leroux, 23, has compiled 247 penalty minutes in 74 career ECHL games with the Wichita Thunder and Quad City Mallards. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward logged a goal, an assist and 71 penalty minutes in 31 contests with the Thunder last season. Prior to turning pro, Leroux played parts of two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Kitchener Rangers and London Knights, piling up 100 penalty minutes in 36 games. The native of Peterborough, Ontario helped the Knights to an OHL Championship and an appearance in the Memorial Cup, alongside current Fuel forward Matt Rupert.
