Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the Kalamazoo Wings and Fort Wayne Komets tonight is final opportunity for players to impress their coaches in game competition. This evening is also the second half of a home and home series between the teams. Fort Wayne defeated Kalamazoo 6-5 last night at Wings Stadium.

For the first-time in the preseason, K-Wing fans will get to see forward Glenn Detulleo and goaltender Jason Tapp. Tonight is also the first road trip for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo will have to get use to life on the road, as they will start the season with two straight contests away from Wings Stadium.

The defending Turner Cup champs have picked up where they have left off a season ago. The Komets offense has produced nine goals in two games, with five of those tallies occurring on the power-play. Tonight is the last tune up for the Komets before they start the regular season next Friday at Port Huron.
