The K-Tribe opens up a six game homestand tonight at Historic Grainger Stadium. First pitch 7 pm. If the current rotation holds up, Alex White will pitch at home this Tuesday against Lynchburg.
Middle Men - The heart of the K-Tribe order is starting to heat up. Third hitter Jason Kipnis is on a three-game hitting streak, and hitting .381 with 3 RBI over his last five games. Cleanup batter Nate Recknagel has an Indians' season-long 7-game on-base streak, and is hitting .417 with 2 runs and 2 RBI during that span. Abner Abreu was moved down to the 5-hole after starting the season batting 2nd or 3rd in the order, and in 4 games he is hitting 4-for-16 after starting 5-for-35 in the other spots.
Pitching Prowess - K-Tribe pitchers continue to lead the league with a 2.41 ERA and are second in the league with a .227 opposing batting average. They are also second in the league with 120 strikeouts.
