WASHINGTON, D.C. - The NBA G League announced today that Washington Wizards two-way player Justin Champagnie was named Player of the Month for the month of February.

Champagnie averaged 26.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.4 blocks while shooting .513 in eight games played for the Capital City Go-Go and Sioux Falls Skyforce last month. In his Go-Go debut on February 26 vs. Mexico City, Champagnie tied a career-high with seven made three-pointers and his 29-point, eight-rebound performance helped the Go-Go secure a 135-113 win (the team went 8-2 overall in February).

Champagnie's 26.3 points per game ranked second in the G League and his 2.1 steals per game ranked eighth among those who played at least five games. He was one of three players to average at least 25 points per game in at least five games played in February and also averaged the most rebounds per game (9.1) among those players.

Through 20 games of the NBA G League regular season, the Pittsburgh product is averaging 23.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. Champagnie, who signed a two-way contract with the Wizards yesterday after completing a 10-day contract, has appeared in three games with the Wizards this season, averaging 3.7 points per game.
