Cincinnati Jungle Kats News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Jungle Kats host their second home game in as many weeks for the first time in 2007, as they welcome in the Tennessee Valley Vipers to U.S. Bank Arena at 7:30pm on Saturday night. The Kats are in search of their second win and a 2-4 record while the Vipers sit at 3-2 in the hotly contested Southern Division.

The Kats were able to pick up the ever-elusive first win last week, a 35-32 victory over the Fort Wayne Fusion. The Vipers, meanwhile, haven't exactly been dominant in the past two weeks. They snuck past Florida by 1 point two weeks ago before squeaking by the Green Bay Blizzard 26-21 last Saturday.

Although the Kats have struggled on offense, the 3-2 Vipers have had an even tougher time putting points on the board. The Kats total offense is 22nd best in af2, compiling 241.6 points this season; the Vipers, though, are even less potent - scoring just 173.4 points in 2007, ranking them 29th out of 30 teams in that category.

This week, Brent Rawls has a chance to follow up a solid performance from a week ago. In his first start as a Jungle Kat, the former Oklahoma Sooners signal caller excelled against Fort Wayne. Rawls completed 20 of 37 passes for 194 yards and 3 touchdowns. Rawls will also be engraved in Kats history as the starting quarterback for the first win in franchise history.

The Vipers Tony Colston is the scoring leader both through the air and on the ground for his team. He has amassed 4 rushing TD's this season while completing 88 of 154 passes for 809 yards and 14 scores. He passed for 117 yards and 1 TD last week against the Green Bay Blizzard.

Great seats for the game are still available by calling 513.381.TURF or online at www.JungleKatsFootball.com. Fans can hear all the action of Saturday night's tilt on 1530 HOMER - The Sports Animal beginning at 7:15pm.
