Week in Review
Game # 5 - The Sharks hosted the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings led by former Dallas Cowboys QB Quincy Carter this past Saturday with the Battle Wings besting the Sharks 62 - 27. Carter finished the night 15-25 for 235 yards and 6 touchdowns; Jamaal Perry caught 5 passes for 66 yards and 2 scores. The Sharks Fran Johnson started in place of injured John De Los Santos at QB, Johnson was 20-37 for 170 yards. Steve Smith caught 9 passes for 95 yards and 2 scores for Corpus Christi. The Sharks speedy Ivory McCann returned a kickoff 50 yards in the fourth quarter for a touchdown. The Sharks play Bossier-Shreveport again on June 16th in Shreveport, LA.

The Corpus Christi Sharks will be home again this Friday, May 11thl for Ladies Night presented by Goodwill of South Texas, Always Cool AC & The Planet 102.3 FM. All ladies 18+ will be admitted for as little as just $8 with a discount voucher available at all Goodwill of South Texas locations. The Sharks will seek revenged against the Rio Grande Valley Dorados on Friday night with a 7:05 kickoff from Radiology Associates Field at the American Bank Center. The Sharks lost to the Dorados in their season opener 66-28. Af2 Coaches Poll
CHICAGO - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers have maintained the No. 1 ranking of the Week Coaches Poll for the third straight week, the arenafootball2 (af2) league office announced today.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton collected 451 of a possible 464 points and 22-of-30 first place votes in securing the top position. The Pioneers (5-0) scored a 59-42 home win in Week 6 against Manchester to further solidify their claim to the top spot.
The Tulsa Talons (5-0, 400 points, 5 first place votes) held firm at the No. 2 spot on the strength of a 64-54 road win Saturday against rival Oklahoma City. The Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings (5-0, 394 points, 2 first place votes) also maintained their position at No. 3 overall after a 62-27 road win against the Corpus Christi Sharks. Rounding out the Top 5 this week are the Boise Burn (4-1, 333 points, 1 first place vote) and Arkansas Twisters (4-1, 307 points). Boise moved up four spots from No. 8 to No. 4 after the team's 69-55 road win over Bakersfield on Saturday. The Twisters retained their No. 5 ranking after winning their fourth straight game, 59-33, at Laredo.
