
Jung Blasts a Homer in Erie's Loss

Brant Hurter turned in four perfect innings to begin the game.
Richmond broke through against Blake Holub in the fifth with a solo home run by Brady Whalen.
Erie came back in bottom of the frame. Ben Malgeri scored on Jake Holton's RBI triple to tie the game at one.
Tim Naughton surrendered the lead in the sixth. Victor Bericoto led off the frame with a home run to give Richmond a 2-1 lead. Later in the frame, Will Wilson blasted a two-run home to extend the lead to 4-1.
Daniel Cabrera's RBI ground out in the seventh brought Erie to within a run at 4-2.
Jace Jung clobbered a solo home run in the eight to make it 4-3.
Naughton (4-3) took the loss. Carson Seymour (5-3) earned the win. Tyler Myrick got his fifth save.
The series continues on Wednesday at 6:05 p.m. as Lael Lockhart opposes Nick Zwack.
