Sioux City Explorers News Release

Sioux City-----Sam Judah's two-run single in the eighth inning gave the Explorers a 4-2 win over Winnipeg at Lewis and Clark Park on Tuesday.

It was the second consecutive game that Judah has driven in the winning run. His bases loaded double on Sunday gave the Explorers a come from behind 5-3 win over Wichita.

This was the third win in a row for the Explorers, matching their longest winning streak of the season after starting the year with three wins.

With the Explorers trailing 2-1 going into the eighth inning and one out, Luke Murton got his third hit of the game followed by a double off the bat of Peter Barrows. After an intentional walk to Yuske Inoguchi, Winnipeg relief pitcher Chris Kissock unloaded a wild pitch that allowed Murton to score the tying run. With the infield drawn in, Judah singled to left field to score Barrows and Inoguchi to give the Explorers a 4-2 lead.

Cody Satterwhite pitched the eighth inning to pick up his second win of the season while Chris Bodishbaugh finished the game with his ninth save of the year.

The Explorers and Winnipeg will meet in the second game of the three-game series Wednesday at Lewis and Clark Park. Game time is set for 7:05pm.
