Seattle Sounders FC News Release
SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC today announced that forward Jordan Morris has undergone successful left knee surgery. The procedure was performed by Dr. Bert Mandelbaum on Wednesday, March 10 in Santa Monica, California. Morris is set to begin rehabilitation immediately following the procedure. Morris suffered the knee injury on Saturday, February 20 in Swansea City's match vs. Huddersfield Town.
Morris was loaned to Swansea City on January 22 following a 2020 season in which he scored 10 goals and eight assists, earning MLS Best XI honors and his second consecutive Sounders FC Team MVP. The Mercer Island native missed the 2018 season with a torn right ACL before returning to win 2019 MLS Comeback Player of the Year after a 10-goal, seven-assist season, where he helped the Rave Green capture the MLS Cup title. Morris has 41 goals and 23 assists in 121 MLS appearances (including postseason play), helping Seattle to four MLS Cup appearances and two championships.
