GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United announced today midfielder Sam Gleadle has been released.
Gleadle joined Minnesota in late 2020 after two seasons with USL Championship side Reno 1868 FC to provide depth as the Loons worked to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs. The 24-year-old had 43 total game appearances for Reno, including two USL Championship playoff appearances in 2020. In his two seasons with Reno 1868 FC, Gleadle had seven goals and seven assists across 3,215 minutes.
