MCALLEN, Texas - The NBA Development League Rio Grande Valley Vipers today announced that Jordan Hamilton has joined the team. Hamilton is expected to be available tonight when the Vipers host the Austin Spurs at 7 p.m. (CST) at State Farm Arena.

The Vipers acquired Hamilton on Oct. 31, 2015. Hamilton (forward, 6'7, 220, Texas) most recently played for Krasny Oktyabr of the VTB United League in Russia. He has played for three NBA teams, including the Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers. The Dallas Mavericks drafted Hamilton 26th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft. He was part of a three-team draft night trade that sent him to the Denver Nuggets. Hamilton has also played for the NBA D-League's Iowa Energy and Reno Bighorns.

Throughout his NBA career, Hamilton has averaged 5.5 ppg and 2.6 rpg. In 37 total NBA D-League games, he averaged 15.6 ppg, 7.1 rpg and 3.2 apg.

Hamilton played two seasons at The University of Texas from 2009-11, where he averaged 14.5 ppg and 5.7 rpg.
