
Iowa Energy Fall to the Canton Charge

Canton, Ohio - The Iowa Energy (14-17) fell 115-105 to the Canton Charge (19-13) Tuesday night at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
The Energy were led by Memphis Grizzlies draft rights player Andrew Harrison with a career-high 36 points, four rebounds and six assists. Alex Stepheson posted his 26th double-double of the season with 18 points and 17 rebounds. The Charge were led by Nick Minnerath with 31 points and 11 rebounds.
It was a fast start to the game for both the Energy and Charge. Harrison got the Energy going early hitting back-to-back three-pointers to start. Neither team was able to build much of a lead with six lead changes and five ties. The Charge hit a buzzer beater as time expired in the first to hold a 25-24 lead. The Charge were able to build a 12-point lead in the second behind 12 points from Minnerath. Harrison continued to carry the Energy, scoring 13 points in the second quarter to bring his first half total to 23 points. Canton would go on to hold a 55-49 advantage at halftime.
The Energy quickly erased the Charge's six-point halftime lead starting out on a 12-0 run to open up an Energy six-point lead. The Energy extended their lead to nine-points before the Charge put together a fun of their own to tie the game. Canton went on to hold an 83-80 lead after the third quarter. Iowa took the lead back early in the fourth before Canton would regain the lead and open up a 15-point lead. The Energy were unable to put a late run together and fell 115-105.
Iowa continues with game two of a three game road trip at Westchester this Friday at 6pm. The Energy return home Tuesday, Feb. 23 against the Raptors 905 at 7 p.m.
