
Jonquel Jones Named Kia WNBA Player of the Month

The WNBA announced today that Jonquel Jones has been named Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for the month of May. This is the second time she has been named player of the month in her career, the first was in June of 2017.
Jones helped Connecticut jump out to a 5-0 record to start the season, tying the franchise's best start in history set in 2018. The Sun finished the month 6-2 and Jones averaged 20.3 ppg, 10.5 rpg, and 3.3 apg.
The 6-6 forward is currently leading the league in rebounding (10.1 rpg). Jones has finished at the top of the league in rebounding two times in her career (2017, 2019).
