
Jones Disabled, Perez to M-Braves

Mississippi Braves News Release
Pearl, MS - The Mississippi Braves announce that, effective May 14th, IF Travis Jones was placed on the disabled list and IF Antonio Perez was promoted to AA Mississippi from R Danville. Jones was hitting .315 with five doubles, a triple, a homer and 12 RBI while serving as the every day second baseman for the M-Braves.
Perez, who made his Major League debut in 2003, was signed by the Braves as a free agent in March of 2009. His last big league action came in 2006 when he hit .102 through 57 games as a member of the Oakland A's. He did not play in 2008.
Mississippi's roster now has 24 active players and two players on the disabled list.
