KODAK, TENN. (MAY 15, 2009) - Tonight the Diamond Jaxx wrap up a five game series with the Tennessee Smokies, at Smokies Park in Kodak, TN. The series is tied 2-2 with tonight being the rubber game of the series. West Tenn is 2-4 in series' in 2009. The two series won were on the road against Montgomery (4-1) and at home against Mississippi (3-1). Jaxx right-hander Justin Souza (1-2, 4.22) makes the start. Souza was knocked around in his last start on April 8th against Huntsville at Pringles Park. He allowed six runs on eight hits before being lifted after 1.1 innings pitched. Souza is making start number four on the year. Marcos Mateo (1-0, 2.70) starts for Tennessee. Mateo has made six starts on the year, with three coming in Class-A Daytona and three with the Smokies. Mateo was acquired by the Cubs from Cincinnati on August 30, 2007 in exchange for OF Buck Coats.

The following roster move has been made.

INF Jeff Dominguez has been sent to Class High-A High Desert of the California League. Dominguez's 2009 stats are listed below.
