
Jon Sim Will Play For Team Canada in Deutschland Cup

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH - The Utah Grizzlies announced today that right wing Jon Sim has been named to the Canadian National Team and will participate in the 2002 Deutschland Cup in Hannover, Germany November 8-10.
Sim, 25, currently leads the Grizzlies with nine points (three goals, six assists). He will join six other players on the National Team that have been loaned by their respective National Hockey League (NHL) clubs.
"We're very pleased with the group of players we've assembled for these international games and especially with the involvement of six NHL teams," said Canadian National Men's Team General Manager Steve Tambellini. "NHL General Managers have recognized Canada's National Men's Team as a great development opportunity for key young players in their organizations."
Along with the tournament on November 8-10, the National Team will play an exhibition game against Germany in Cologne on November 6. Joining Team Canada in the Deutschland Cup will be Germany, Switzerland and the United States.
