AUGUSTA â The unlikely success story of Augusta Lynx goaltender Geoffrey Faulkner has caught the attention of NHL.COM, the main website for the National Hockey League. Faulkner's story will be featured in the ECHL section of the NHL.COM website this Friday.
Faulkner came to Augusta on a try-out basis just hoping to find a niche somewhere in the pro ranks. The former Division III Trinity College standout ended up winning the ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors for Week Two after capitalizing on an opportunity and going 3-0-0 in his first three starts.
