Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy led for much of the game Saturday night, but gave up three runs in the sixth and seventh innings combined to lose game two of the weekend against the Windy City ThunderBolts 3-2.

The Slammers (26-18) jumped off to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third on a Joe Staley solo home run. Charlie White would then hit an RBI single to make it 2-0.

Kaleb Ort held a 2-0 lead heading into the top of the sixth inning, but a leadoff single by Ransom Lalonde from the Thunderbolts followed by a two-run home run from Kyle Wood tied the game at 2-2 in the sixth.

In the top of the seventh, Joliet reliever Tyler Levine allowed the first two men aboard. The costly walks would come back to hurt Levine (2-1) as Lalonde would drive in Coco Johnson for the go ahead run.

Clay Chapman gave Windy City (23-21) a solid performance going eight innings giving up two runs on seven hits. Chapman improves his record to (5-2) on the season and now (2-0) against the Slammers.

Game three of the series will be tomorrow afternoon at Silver Cross Field, first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m. The probable pitching matchup for tomorrow's game is left-hander Jake Fisher for Windy City and left-hander Sean Townsley for Joliet.
