Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs News Release
Join us tonight from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Boomtown Hotel & Casino in Bossier City for "Powerplay", the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Coaches Show! Tonight your "Voice of the Mudbugs" Travis Huntington will be joined by Mudbugs Assistant Coach Trevor Buchanan and forward Evgeny Saidachev to talk Mudbugs hockey for an hour in the Sundance Cantina at Boomtown Hotel & Casino, the official hotel of the Mudbugs.
The Cantina will be offering fantastic specials on drinks and food in addition to a full menu of its American favorites with a Southwestern flair. If you can't make it to Boomtown to watch the show in person, you can always tune in to hear it on "The Home of the Legends" AM 1130 KWKH, also from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Head Coach Scott Muscutt will not be at tonight's Coaches Show because he will be a part of an informational meeting about plans for a new public ice hockey facility here in Bossier-Shreveport. The meeting will take place at 6:30 this evening at Calvary Baptist Academy on Linwood Avenue between Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and Highway 3132 in Shreveport. The new hockey facility will be called "George's Pond", in honor of the late George Cloutier, a Shreveport native who was heavily involved in the local youth hockey community. Tonight's meeting will inform community members about the plans and fundraising efforts for "George's Pond", which will be a part of the new Impact Center sports complex. Coach Muscutt hopes to see you there!
