River City Rascals News Release
O'FALLON, MO - The River City Rascals, presented by Progress West Healthcare, want you to invite all your friends, real or imaginary, to T.R. Hughes Ballpark on Monday, June 29th for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. It is McValue Monday with the Community News and Imaginary Friend Night in O'Fallon.
Join the Rascals this Monday as River City attempts to break the all-time Frontier League attendance record against West Division rival, the Southern Illinois Miners. ALL imaginary friends will be given FREE admittance to the game with the purchase of a ticket for the REAL you.
"Imaginary friends have been getting a bad shake for years now," commented Assistant General Manager Zach Ziler. "Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they don't have feelings. The Rascals want to reward all of the silent people out there with the gift of baseball."
Special events for Imaginary Friend Night include all kinds of activities with your imaginary friend including a dance contest, sumo wrestling, tug-of-war and singing the seventh inning stretch.
"We see it all the time here at the ballpark," continued Ziler. "Thousands of Rascal fans come through the turnstiles every summer, yet their imaginary friends get stuck outside. We want to reward all of them for their countless hours of sticking by our sides with a free ticket. Round up all of your imaginary friends, load them up in your car and bring them out to see the Rascals this Monday."
All club, box, infield bleacher back, and lawn / outfield bleacher back tickets are ONLY five dollars and hot dogs are only one dollar every Monday home game, brought to you by McDonald's and The Community News. Fans are also allowed to bring their dogs to the ballpark, if sitting in the Lawn section every Monday.
The gates open one hour prior to the first pitch at 6:05 p.m. For tickets, call the Rascals at (636) 240-BATS (2287) or visit purchase your tickets online at www.rivercityrascals.com.
