Join the Des Moines Buccaneers staff for the upcoming 2023-24 season! The Buccaneers are looking for game day workers and paid interns for a variety of roles for the hockey season.
Game day employees are paid hourly and are needed in the areas of ice crew, concessions and ticket scanners. If you have interest in these positions, please contact Sarah Rivera at sarah@bucshockey.com or call 515-278-2827.
Internships are available in both the Ticket & Promotions department, and in the Media Department.
TICKET & PROMOTIONS INTERNSHIP
Skills and Abilities
Great communication skills
Ability to work in fast paced and changing environment
Reliable and punctual
Positive Attitude
Available to work evenings and weekends
Must be at least 18 years old
Essential Duties
Work ticket office window during walk up rush hours
Work 'Will Call' ticket window and assist with customer reprints
Work as game night cash runner for concessions stands
Assist game night promotional staff with set up, implementation and tear down of nightly promotions
All interns are required to commit to the entire season from October through April (including playoffs)
Interact with fans to provide a positive environment within the arena
All interns are to assist in other departments when needed
Other opportunities for hours include community events, player appearances and sponsor appearances

MEDIA INTERNSHIP
Skills and Abilities

Available to work evenings and weekends
Essential Duties
Assist the Director of Communications with any game day tasks
Intern must have interest, education or experience in:
Videography
Social Media
Graphic Design
Written Content
Knowledge of hockey preferred but will teach the right candidates
All interns are required to commit to as many games as possible throughout the season from October through April (including playoffs)
Interact with fans to provide a positive environment within the arena
All interns are to assist in other departments when needed
Other opportunities for hours include weekday tasks that can be done in-arena or remote.
