
Johnson Wins Special Teams Player Of The Week

WINNIPEG, MB - Winnipeg Blue Bombers cornerback Jovon Johnson has been named Special Teams Player of the Week for week 17 of the CFL season.
Johnson had a great game returning kicks for the Bombers in their upset win over the league leading Alouettes on Saturday. Johnson racked up 254 total return yards including a highlight reel 79-yard punt return touchdown.
Johnson's 79-yarder in the fourth quarter helped ensure the 41-24 victory. On the return Johnson fielded the punt at his own 31, took the ball sideline to sideline, eluding several tackles before breaking up the middle for the score.
Johnson has been named the Gibson's Finest CFL Special Teams Player of the Week three of the past four weeks.
