Johnson loaned to Milwaukee

Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Steve Martinson announced on Tuesday that winger Chaz Johnson was loaned to the IceHogs American Hockey League affiliate Milwaukee Admirals. The AHL call-up is Johnson's first of the 2006-07 season.

Johnson is currently skating in his second professional season. In 31 games with Rockford, Johnson has 10 goals, seven assists and 103 penalty minutes. Last season, Johnson appeared in eight games with the Admirals and netted a goal during in two call-ups.

Prior to coming to Rockford this season Johnson attended Chicago Wolves (AHL) training camp. After getting released from Chicago the Montreal, Quebec native returned to the IceHogs for his second stint. During his rookie campaign in 2005-06 in Rockford, Johnson accumulated 23g-22a-45pts in 66 games.

Johnson is the second IceHogs skater to receive an AHL promotion this season as goaltender Frederic Cloutier was loaned twice to the "A", once each to Milwaukee and Chicago.

Next Homestand: Friday, Jan. 5 vs. Bloomington PrairieThunder. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. The Hogs play their first game at the MetroCentre in 2007 and open a season long five-game homestand. The game also marks the final of three-straight games against Bloomington. The first 1,000 fans will receive IceHogs Poster #4 courtesy of Pepsi, Medicine Man, Johnson Press and the Rockford Register Star.

Saturday, Jan. 6 vs. Kalamazoo Wings. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Wings mix it up once again at the MetroCentre. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs Stadium Blanket from Lonnie's Carpet Max.
