
Johnson Earns Second CFL Defensive Player of the Week Award

Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that Jamall Johnson has been named the CFL's Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Saturday's game against the Edmonton Eskimos. Johnson was also named CFL Defensive Player of the Week following the Ticats Week 5 win over B.C.
Johnson recorded eight defensive tackles, one special teams tackle and one quarterback sack over the course of Saturday's game at Commonwealth Stadium. The first-year Ticat is currently tied for the CFL lead with 55 defensive tackles and has also registered four special teams tackles, two quarterback sacks and one forced fumble this season.
Ticats defensive tackle Matt Kirk was named runner-up for Canadian Player of the Week.
