
Joel Martin Returns to Jackalopes

ODESSA, TX - The Odessa Jackalopes announced today that goaltender Joel Martin will return to the team immediately after being released from his Player Tryout Agreement with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Bridgeport is Odessa's American Hockey League affiliate.
Martin attended training camp this year with the both the Sound Tigers and the NHL's New York Islanders, then dressed as the backup goaltender for Bridgeport's first two games of season. The 28-year-old Martin now returns to Odessa, where last season he was named the Central Hockey League's Most Outstanding Goaltender with a 27-6-2 record, 2.50 Goals Against Avg., and a .918 Save Percentage.
Martin is scheduled to join the team immediately. Odessa travels to Bloomington, IL on Friday to face the PrairieThunder at 7:05 PM CST.
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
