Joel Chouinard Assigned to Cutthroats from AHL

DENVER - The Denver Cutthroats announced today defenseman Joel Chouinard has been assigned to the team from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters.

Chouinard (shwih-NARD) appeared in eight games for the Monsters during his call-up and has appeared in 96 AHL games for Lake Erie over the past three seasons.

The 22-year-old blueliner has appeared in 30 games this season for the Cutthroats after originally being assigned to the team at the start of the 2012-13 season. The Sherbrooke, Quebec native has recorded three goals and eight assists for the Cutthroats this season with a plus-6 rating.

The Cutthroats host the Tulsa Oilers on Friday. Puck drop is set for 7:05 PM MST.
