Rapid City's Danny Battochio Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (February 26, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Rapid City Rush goaltender Danny Battochio has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending February 24, 2013.

What a bounce-back week for Battochio who erased a personal three-game losing streak with three straight wins. The Lively, Ontario native stopped 75 of 79 shots (.949 save percentage) in his team's two wins over Bloomington and one win over Quad City.
On the season, the 2010 CHL Rookie of the Year is 12-9-1 with a league-best 2.26 goals against average and a .920 save percentage (second in the CHL). In his CHL career, Battochio is 84-42-12 with seven career shutouts.
