Joe Tomato's Weekend Preview: Attack Start Fresh in 2019-20
September 20, 2019 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack start their 2019-20 campaign this weekend with the home opener against the Ottawa 67s. Attack fans can visit Joe Tomato's after every Attack home game for half priced wings and appetizers with your game ticket.
Ottawa are the reigning Eastern Conference Champions and are returning many core players from last year's team that went on the deep playoff run. Their defence corps returns almost untouched, and overage forward Austen Keating leads a forward group with plenty of firepower. Cedrick Andree was one of the best backup goaltenders in the OHL last year after the 67s acquired Michael DiPietro from the Windsor Spitfires and is looking to claim his spot as the #1 netminder in the Nation's Capital.
Owen Sound are prepared for the opening night litmus test and will have veteran presence in the lineup. Brady Lyle and Aidan Dudas returned from NHL camps earlier this week and will anchor an Attack team that has a solid blend of youth and experience. Head Coach Al Letang is preaching a fast-paced game with plenty of skill which should delight Attack fans watching at the Bayshore.
Prior to the game, the Attack are hosting their Fan Fest with bouncy castles and inflatables provided by All In 1 Events and Inflatables and The Bowling Alley in Owen Sound. Taking place outside the Bayshore Community centre, this event begins at 4:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
Tickets to the home opener are still available and can be purchased online, at the MacVicar & McComb Remax Attack Box Office or by phone at 519-371-7452.
