Joe Harris Named American Association Pitcher of the Month

FARGO, ND - Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks LHP Joe Harris has been selected by the American Association as the Rawlings Pitcher of the Month for July.
In July, Harris was a perfect 6-0 with a 1.69 ERA and three saves. He appeared in 14 of the RedHawks 27 games in the month. Harris pitched 21.1 innings and allowed five runs (four earned) on 16 hits. He struck out 19 batters and walked four.
Harris is having a solid season for the North Division-leading RedHawks and is tied for the American Association lead in victories. He is 9-3 with a 1.79 ERA and three saves in 36 games. Harris has allowed just 29 hits in 45.1 innings pitched and has notched 39 strikeouts. His 36 appearances are tied for second in the league.
The RedHawks will play the final game of their three-game series with the St. Paul Saints tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Midway Stadium in St. Paul, MN. The club will return home to start crucial six-game homestand on Friday night, starting with a three-game weekend series at Newman Outdoor Field against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. Following an off-day on Monday, the RedHawks and Saints will square off again in a three-game series starting on Tuesday night.
