WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY - Jhony Brito and Josh Breaux led the Hudson Valley Renegades to a 6-4 victory Friday night, sinking the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, at Dutchess Stadium.

BIG MOMENTS
Hudson Valley's Jhony Brito tossed a season-high seven innings of two-run ball, striking out seven with no walks in the victory. He threw 85 pitches, allowing five hits.
Yankees catching prospect Josh Breaux went 3-4, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. Breaux's solo home run in the first made it 1-0. His RBI double in the third made it 2-1, and his run-scoring single in the fourth pushed the lead to 6-2.
Trailing 6-2 into the ninth, Jeremy Vasquez cut the deficit to two runs with a two-run blast to right field, cutting it to 6-4.

NEWS AND NOTES
3B Brett Baty went 2-for-4 to collect his 16th multi-hit game of the year.
Hudson Valley has beaten the Cyclones in seven straight games and 11 of 15 games in 2021. However, 10 of the 15 games have been decided by two runs or fewer.
Francisco Alvarez and Brett Baty will not be with the team starting Saturday as they travel to Denver to participate in the SiriusXM Radio MLB Futures Game on Sunday at Coors Field.
Luke Ritter was placed on the Injured Listed prior to Friday's game..He was diagnosed with a broken Hamate Bone in his left hand.
Brooklyn is 2-9 in their last 11 games and has lost five straight games, tying their season-high.
Joe Genord became the first Cyclones to be ejected from a game this season when he was tossed by home plate umpire Dylan Bradley for arguing a check swing call in the top of the 9th.
