Greenville, S.C. - Aberdeen hit three homers, including two from Gunnar Henderson, connected on 12 hits and plated five runs between the fifth and the sixth innings to slip past Greenville, 6-5, Friday night at Fluor Field.

The series is tied at 2-2.

On the night, Greenville hitters tallied seven hits, two homers and two doubles. Dom D'Alessandro blasted two homers for his first career multi-homer game. He also drove in two. Kole Cottam registered two hits, both doubles, and two RBI.

The loss went to Grant Gambrell, who started for Greenville and hurled 5.0 innings and surrendered six runs on seven hits, three homers and two walks with five punchouts. Jake Wallace pitched 2.0 innings and fanned four hitters on the night.

Jake Prizina earned the win for the Aberdeen. The lefty hurled 6.0 innings and allowed three runs on five hits, one homer and one walk while fanning three.

The Ironbirds plated the first run of the game in the second inning on a Gunnar Henderson solo homer to take a 1-0 advantage.

With one out in the third inning, D'Alessandro hammered a 1-1 pitch over the batter's eye in center field to tie the game at 1-1. The ball travelled a whopping 472 ft. and left the bat at 107 MPH.

Greenville then took the lead in the fourth inning. After two quick outs, Reed walked and got to third on a single by Howlett and a throwing error by the third baseman. A batter later, Cottam scorched a two-run double to left for a 3-1 lead.

The Ironbirds responded quickly by taking a 4-3 lead in the top of the fifth inning on an RBI double by Maverick Handley and two-run homer by Dylan Harris.

Aberdeen added to its lead, 6-3, in the top of the sixth inning on another Henderson homer, this time a two-run shot.

The Drive pulled to within one in the bottom of the seventh inning. Dalton drew a two-out walk to get things started. The next batter, D'Alessandro mashed his second homer of the game, a two-run shot, bringing the score to 6-5.

Game five is scheduled for 7:05 Saturday at Fluor Field. The Drive are set to throw Chris Murphy while the Ironbirds are slated to start Garrett Stallings.
