SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The Lancaster offense proved to be too much for Steven Johnson and the 66ers, as the JetHawks came away with a 6-1 win to close out the series.

After a key error by Adolfo Gonzalez, Matt Weston hit a two-out three-run homer to give the JetHawks their first three runs of the game in the fourth inning, and Lancaster never looked back.

Steven Caseres provided a small spark for the 66ers offense in the bottom half of the fifth, cranking a solo home run over the net in right field and on to E Street to cut the lead to 3-1.

Trailing 3-1 in the seventh, the 66ers threatened the JetHawks lead. With the bases loaded, Christian Lara's base hit glanced off runner Alex Garabedian's cleat on its way to right field for the third out. Lara's hit would have scored both Adolfo Gonzalez and Steven Caseres to tie the game at three, had Garabedian avoided the ball.

The JetHawks tacked on three more runs after the Sixers' threat, giving them a 6-1 victory. All six Lancaster runs scored with two outs.

Steven Johnson (4-4, 4.21) was tagged with the loss for Inland Empire, pitching 5 2/3 innings, striking out 5, and allowing 3 unearned runs to score.

Christopher Hicks (5-3, 5.49) earned the win for Lancaster with his quality start. Hicks allowed just 1 run on 7 hits while striking out 3 in his 6 2/3 innings of work.

Inland Empire (26-34) will start a three game series against the Lake Elsinore Storm (34-26) on a Toyota of Redlands 50-Cent Friday. Fans can purchase 50-cent hot dogs, 50-cent quesadillas, $2.50 sodas and $2.50 beers during Friday night's game, while Lawn Seating will be available for just $2. There will also be a performance by the National Mascot "BirdZerk!"
