Jensen Re-Assigned to Nailers

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have reassigned left wing Joe Jensen from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), it was announced on Thursday.

Jensen, 23, appeared in seven games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording one goal, two penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating.

Jensen joined the Penguins on December 5, after starting the season with the Nailers. He was third on Wheeling with 19 points (6+13) in 17 games at the time of his reassignment to Wilkes-Barre.

The 5-11, 180 pound native of Maple Grove. Minnesota played four seasons at St. Cloud State (WCHA), recording 100 points (45+55) in 153 games.

Jensen was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the eighth round (232nd overall) of the 2003 Entry Draft.
