Kopriva Expected to Start Tonight with AHL Houston

Beaumont, TX (January 4, 2007) Texas Wildcatters Vice-President of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Malcolm Cameron announced that goaltender Miroslav Kopriva has been recalled to AHL affiliate Houston. Kopriva is expected to start tonight when the Aeros host the Peoria Rivermen.

Kopriva has played in 12 games with the Wildcatters this season. He is 6-1 with a 2.78 GAA and a .909 save percentage. Kopriva made 28 saves in a 4-1 win against Florida last Thursday. On December 30, he entered the game in a relief appearance and played 25 minutes in Houston, making 10 saves without allowing a goal in a game against San Antonio.

The Texas Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate for the AHL's Houston Aeros. The next Wildcatters home game is on Friday, January 5 vs. the Columbia Inferno.
