
Jenkins Works Eight Innings and Fisher Cats Win 11-1

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Manchester, NH)---Chad Jenkins improved to 2-2, allowing one run in eight innings and the Fisher Cats rolled past division-rival New Britain 11-1 before 6,682 at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium on Independence Day.
Jenkins allowed five hits, walking one and striking out four. Chad Beck pitched a perfect ninth inning for the Fisher Cats with a strikeout.
The Fisher Cats (48-33) scored in the bottom of the first inning for a 1-0 lead. Moises Sierra reached on an error and scored on a double by Mike McDade (3-for-5, 2 2B, 2 RBI).
New Hampshire added a run in the bottom of the second inning as 2B John Tolisano homered to right field, his fifth of the season, to make it 2-0.
The Fisher Cats extended the lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Anthony Gose drilled a three-run homer and after Sierra was hit-by-pitch, McDade followed with his second RBI double of the game.
New Britain (43-38) got on the board in the top of the eighth inning on a solo home run by Michael Hollimon to cut the lead to 6-1.
New Hampshire scored five more in the bottom of the eighth inning which included a grand slam by Callix Crabbe, the first by the Fisher Cats this season.
Bobby Lanigan (5-6) took the loss for New Britain. He worked six innings, allowing six runs (one earned). He walked one and struck out seven batters.
The Fisher Cats and Rock Cats meet again on Tuesday night at 7:05pm. The first 1500 fans will receive a Fisher Cats Hat courtesy of Fairpoint Communications. New Hampshire's scheduled starter is RHP Robert Ray (0-2, 8.57) and RHP Brett Jacobson
