Hall Promoted to AAA, Igawa Back to Trenton

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that LHP Shaeffer Hall has been transferred to Triple A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre. In a corresponding move, LHP Kei Igawa has been received from Triple A Scranton Wilkes-Barre. The moves leave the Thunder roster at its capacity of 24 active players.

Hall, who is expected to start on Monday night for the Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre Yankees, was 6-4 with a 3.97 earned run average in 14 starts and two relief appearances for the Trenton Thunder in 2011. The Lee's Summit, MO native will participate in Triple A action for the first time in his career.

Another lefty, Josh Romanski, will start in Hall's place as the Thunder take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels from Richmond, VA on Monday night. It will be Romanski's first career Double A start.

With a seven-game homestand in the rear-view mirror, the Thunder will begin an eight-game road swing to Richmond and Reading Monday night, July the Fourth. Game one of a four-game set with the Richmond Flying Squirrels begins at 6:35 PM from The Diamond in Richmond, Virginia. The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Hank Fuerst begins at 6:20 PM.
