Jeff State Traded To Texas Wildcatters

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that defenseman Jeff State has been traded to the Texas Wildcatters of the ECHL in return for an undisclosed amount of cash. State (6'7"/244 lbs.) (27), a fifth year pro, picked up three assists and 57 penalty minutes in 31 games for the Royals this season. Last year, State scored three goals, assisted on six others and picked up 156 penalty minutes in 59 games for Reading.

The Royals have a full seven days off before returning to action next Sunday when Reading takes on the Johnstown Chiefs at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Royals' game night broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am (and on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com), beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available for $6.00 per game through the B2 Networks, which can be accessed through the Royals' website.
