
Jazz Assign Tibor Pleiss to Stampede

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has assigned center Tibor Pleiss to the Idaho Stampede, the Jazz's exclusively owned and operated NBA D-League team. Pleiss is expected to be in uniform for the Stampede's game on Friday, Jan. 29 at Austin.
This will be the second assignment this season for Pleiss, who was previously assigned to Idaho from Nov. 29-Dec. 16. In seven games (all starts) for the Stampede, Pleiss averaged 11.6 points on 58.8 percent shooting, 8.4 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 assist in 30.1 minutes per game. He recorded three double-doubles, including one game of 15 points on 71.4 percent shooting and 11 rebounds against Bakersfield on Dec. 11. Pleiss has seen action in 12 games for the Jazz this season, averaging 2.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game.
Pleiss is the fourth player to be assigned to the D-League under the new Jazz-Stampede single affiliation. Other players on the current Jazz roster with D-League experience include Rudy Gobert, Chris Johnson and Erick Green.
